AizuWakamatsu Trip in May 2012

Since I have not written on our blog for many months there have been many events and ideas which have been left unblogged..

one of which was our trip to AizuWakamatsu in May. AizuWakamatsu is Akiko's birth town. We had a nice time there. Visited the Castle, Gardens, and I could appreciate learning about AKiko's childhood and school years.

Aizu's iconic NekoBeko, Red Cow, image on the local train.

The castle at Aizu, amazing. 会津若松城 AizuWakamatsu-Jo.

We visited a brewery, tasted sake, Akiko was tipsy :)

Miso DenGaku, an amazing meal, great food, and unique Japanese vegetarian bbq cuisine.

One of many beautiful, silent, grounds of worship and housing past life.
Organic Citrus Cake, nice design, and nice taste, however the coffee was terrible :)

Mini Christmas Tree

Before Christmas, this year just past, Akiko bought a really nice, young and living Christmas Tree.
I had bought some Christmas lights and arranged them around the tree. It was our first Christmas together!
It was really heartwarming to be together, during the holiday season.

This tree has a beautiful and delicious smell. When the bristles are rubbed lightly they emit a fragrance that is very similar to sweet, lemon citrus.

In addition to exchanging gifts Christmas day, we had a semi-traditional roast dinner and watched James Bond with Timothy Dalton. The dinner consisted of simply prepared, Chicken, potato, carrot, mushrooms, gravy, and Banana Pudding with Soy Milk Custard for dessert.

Eighteen days before our Australian Summer Holiday!

Aco will be here soon! In eighteen days, Aco will be in Australia with me, at this old Queenslander house where I currently live. For me, it will be a dream-come-true.

We have been planning our Australian summer holiday since June. We will stay here, at my share house, for the first night, before going up to the Sunshine Coast Hinterland, to our hideaway cabin in Maleny for three nights, and then back again for another two nights. I cant wait to be with Aco again. It has been around six months since the last time I was with her in Japan :(

Aco, I put these photos here for you to see :)
I hope you are looking forward to our holiday as much as I am xxx.
A typical "Queenslander" home. My room is at the front of the house, on the top floor, left side.
